How is constructivism applied in schools?

Students work primarily in groups, teachers have dialogues with students to help them construct their own knowledge, and constructivist classrooms focus on student questions and interests while building on what students already know. They also emphasize interactive learning and are student-centered.

Principles of connectivism: 

-The variety of viewpoints is the foundation for learning and knowledge.

Connecting specialized nodes or knowledge sources is the process of learning.Non-human machines may contain learning.

-Knowledge beyond what is presently understood is more important.

-To support ongoing learning, relationships must be nurtured and maintained.

A key talent is the capacity to recognize connections between concepts, theories, and domains.

There are four characteristics of connectivism: autonomy, openness, connectedness, and diversity
