Open Educational Resources (OER)
Open Educational Resources (OER) are learning, teaching and research materials in any format and medium that reside in the public domain or are under copyright that have been released under an open license, that permit no-cost access, re-use, re-purpose, adaptation and redistribution by others. OER can be useful and beneficial for teachers
because they are customizable. Teachers are encouraged to take an advantage of this feature of
OER allowing users to engage in 5R activities. With the permission to remix and revise, teachers have
the flexibility and choices to change whichever parts of OER that do not apply to their classes can
customize the content based on their own teaching needs and students’ learning needs
Learning, teaching, and research materials in any format or media that are in the public domain or are protected by copyright and published under an open license, allowing free access, re-use, re-purpose, adaption, and redistribution by others, are known as open educational resources (OER). OER may be valuable and useful for educators since they are adaptable. Teachers are urged to make use of the OER feature that enables users to participate in 5R activities. Teachers now have the option to remix and update content.
They can alter the material to suit their own teaching needs and the educational requirements of their students by having the freedom and option to change any OER components that don't relate to their lessons
