Principles of Language Assessment

       Language is something that is very important for all of us, because language is a form of our identity, but in language itself there is also something called language assessment, but of course in language assessment we don't just make any assessment because it has principles where these principles become provisions. in language assessment so that the assessment carried out can be directed or run well.

     Then we also need to know what principles exist in language assessment ,Assessment guidelines incompliance with Regulation Number 23 of 2016 issued by the Minister of Education and Culture,There are nine aspects to this principle specifically:  Sahih, objective, fair,integrated,  open, comprehensive and sustainable,systematic,  reference criteria,and accountable. But There is four aspects of assessment principles fulfilled, namely  objective, fair,integrated, and open.

However, apart from that, the language assessment includes important information as contained in Dr Frank Tuzi's explanation, namely:

·       Practicality

·       Reliability

·       Validity

·       Authenticity

·       Rewashing

 Then, as previously explained, principles also have functions and the following are the functions of language assessment principles:
-Ensure Objectivity is The principles of language assessment aid in making sure that evaluations are carried out impartially, free from the rater's prejudices or personal preferences. This guarantees that every person is evaluated similarly and fairly.
-Ensuring Validity is The principles of language assessment guarantee that the tool or technique employed accurately evaluates the desired language ability. This makes it more likely that the evaluation's findings will accurately represent the subject's genuine ability.
-Boost Reliability isThe evaluation procedure can be made more dependable and consistent by putting the principles of language assessment to use. This implies that the outcomes will remain consistent if the assessment is conducted again utilizing the same methodology.

                            So it can be concluded that the principles of language assessment are very influential in carrying out language assessment, which makes the language assessment process focused
