STANDARDS-BASED ASSESSMENT

 

Hellow everyone, welcome back to my blog of course with a discussion of various interesting materials. Then in this discussion we will discuss what  is  STANDARDS-BASED ASSESSMENTand what it is? let's see

         STANDARDS-BASED ASSESSMENT is defined as assessment using evaluation to determine the level of student achievement and ability. In this case, the progress of students' abilities is highly assessed, but there is some progress that is assessed, such as reading and numeracy skills.where the school can first find out the learning objectives and plan tools (assessment guides and assessments) to find out how much student progress is madeBy using the term "standards-based assessment," Robert Marzano and Jay McTighe propose that schools define their learning objectives first.

Standards-based assessment aims to:
-Assisting students in becoming independent learners

 -Implementing assessments that are transparent, consistent, and defendable

 -Directing and promoting successful student learning through inclusive assessment tasks that are in line with learning objectives, course objectives, and pertinent graduate skills and attributes.

  Then there is the difference between traditional assessment and standards-based assessment.

If students receive a failing grade in a traditional grading scheme, they are required to retake the entire course. Grades in a standards-based assessment scheme are feedback that indicate precisely what has to be taught again.

Examples in learning English

such as Students will be assessed based on their ability to understand conversation, dialogue, or monologue in English.

       It can be concluded that standards-based assessment helps us to assess by evaluating a student's abilities and helps students to know the extent of their abilities.
