Standarized Testing
Hellow
everyone, welcome back to my blog of course with a discussion of various
interesting materials. Then in this discussion we will discuss what is Standarized Testing and what it is? let's see
Standarized Testing
A standarized testing
is a form of exam that is given but is carried out and assessed according to
(unchanged) standards. However, there is an understanding according to
Wikipedia. Standard tests are tests that are administered and assessed
consistently, or "standardized". Standardized tests are designed so
that the questions and interpretations are consistent and are administered and
scored in a predetermined standardized manner.
A standard test is one that is administered to
all test takers using the same methodology and evaluated using the same
methodology for each person. The benefits of standardized
testing include providing a consistent and objective assessment of students'
abilities, assisting in the identification of areas in need of development,
influencing educational policy, and guaranteeing accountability within the
educational system.
Apart from that, standard tests have several types that we
need to know, such as:
·
Diagnositic
Test
It is any test or evaluation that can assist in identifying the kind and cause
of a person's behavioral, mental, or physical issues.Tests for hearing
impairments to determine auditory processing speed and learning disabilities to
detect learning challenges are two examples of diagnostic testing.
·
Achievement Test

The purpose of achievement tests is to evaluate a person's comprehension
of knowledge or abilities related to studied or taught subject.
Some standardized tests taken in high school are:
ACT (American College Test)
SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test)
AP (Advanced Placement) Exam.
PERT (Post-Secondary Education Readiness Test)
PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test)
So it can be
concluded that standardized testing is a standard test to assess how much
students have progressed and compare the abilities of students in one scope
with another
